The purpose of these "E-Frameworks" is to create a user-friendly reference for students and teachers who wish to learn more about the Massachusetts Department of Education Frameworks in the subject area of science. This reference can be accessed by anybody in and beyond the Brockton Public Schools system. We welcome additions, suggestions, and improvements to this resource.

This assignment is worth a total of 50 points. Each of the 10 categories below is worth 5 points each. Points for each category are awarded based on accuracy, originality, and formatting. Accuracy means that your information is correct and free of mistakes. Originality means that your work is written in your own words with sources cited as needed. Formatting means that you set your page up just like my example page, with a slight allowance for some improvements or originality. (Note that the total points may be multiplied to scale it up to 100 pts, 250 pts, etc.)
Title & framework # - Either "Earth and Space Science," "Biology," or "Physics."
Framework # and description - Copy the number and description exactly as it is printed in the official frameworks.
Summary - Write a clear and concise summary highlighting the most important aspects of the learning framework. The summary must be written in your own words and should be between 100-200 words long. Cite your sources.
Vocabulary - List at least 5 vocabulary words that are important to know in order to understand the framework. Write clear and concise definitions, in your own words. Cite your sources.
Internet Sources - List at least 5 different websites that provide current and reliable information related to the framework. List the author (or ogranization), title, URL (web address, such as www.cnn.com), the last date it was updated (if possible), the last date you accessed it, and a brief description of how the source might be useful.
Print Sources - List at least 5 different printed resources (books, newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias) that provide current and reliable information related to the framework. List the author(s), title, location of publisher, publishing company, year of publication, and relevant page numbers. Write a brief description of how the source might be useful.
News or Current Events - List at least 5 different news stories or current events (preferably in the last 1 or 2 years) that relate to the framework. List the title, location, date, publisher or author, and source (newspaper name and edition, magazine name and edition, website URL, etc.). Write a brief description of the story and how it relates to the framework.
Images - Include at least 5 images that help illustrate the framework. Add a brief caption to each image. Cite the source of each image.
